I use the friends facility to construct a reading list. Feel free to friend me if you're interested in what I post. If I don't friend you back you won't be missing out on anything because I've never made a locked post and I don't intend to.
Photographs
My camera is a Canon S2 IS (now superseded by the S3). It has most of the advantages of a compact, though it's handbag-sized rather than pocket-sized. One of these days I will probably crack and buy a digital slr, but I'll then have to buy a bigger handbag as well.
You can see many, many photos on my Flickr page. This includes my 'photos of the day' wherein I attempt to take a photograph each and every day of whatever I see around me. This is designed to make me look at the world differently and to actually stop and take a photograph instead of regretting the missed opportunity later. Some days are more successful than others.
